what we’re up to…
2010 is nearly upon us and wow does time fly when you're busy! Boru's Ghost has been feverishly working on our upcoming album release, Hound of Cullan. If all goes as planned, we will have it out by March, just in time for St. Patrick's Day and the North Texas Irish Festival.

Our newest members, Leah and Dustin, can hardly be called new anymore. It's been almost a year and we are very proud about the sound we have developed and of their contributions to the band. We look forward to our future as a band together.

John, our industrious fiddle player, has recently released his third solo album, The Longest Night. You can find it along with Exodus and Solace at CD Baby. He will also have the CDs available at Boru's Ghost performances. Be sure to check them out.

After March, we will be working on new music to have ready just in time for the OK Heritage Fest. Can't wait to see you there!

great performances this year
We played the Sound Bites show in September for our friends at the Oklahoma City Arts Council. Sound Bites at Kerr Park proved to be a beautifully relaxing day, the perfect atmosphere to play and enjoy music in. For more information about this and other great venues put on by the OK Arts Council visit www.arts.ok.gov.

We had the pleasure of performing in the town of Harrah last October. They have built a beautiful, award-winning amphitheatre at the Harrah Heritage Park that we highly recommend. The sound techs and system were superb and the lighting was beautiful. You can find out more information about shows and other activities there by visiting www.harrah-ok.gov. We would also like to thank everyone that came to show, despite the slightly chilly weather.

November the 7th, we again had the honor of playing for the annual fundraiser benefiting the Norman Food Pantry at the U.U. church there. It's good to do something for the community every once in a while, donít you think?

Now that the past is over, how about a glimpse into the future? We are very excited about the upcoming season! Check the Upcoming Shows section; we may be close to your stomping grounds soon! As always, if you are interested in booking Boru's Ghost, please email us at bookings@borusghost.com

new band members
Boru's Ghost asks that you please join us in welcoming our two newest members. Lea Kenton-McGaha (also known as John's lovely wife) will be sharing her talents with us. She will be lending her dulcimer, keyboards and whistle talents. We also welcome back repeat offender Dustin Cooper. Dustin was with BG during the early stages and has returned to us to do some percussion and perhaps with a bit of arm twisting, maybe some bouzuki and/or hammered dulcimer. We also welcome the artful skills of Christi Cooper, who has designed the web site and art that you are enjoying right now. Next time you come out to a show, be sure and stop by to welcome these three into the fold.
