open road
Written by J. McGaha

I'm sitting here a little run down, for I can feel life bearing down on me. I think I had a
revelation, the open road is calling out to me.*

* When I head out on the highway, the memories flood back to me. I wish that this would last forever, but when the morning comes it becomes easy to see...the open road.

Where out in the meadow would you stand, when I had dreamed you standing there with me? The path ahead of us is longer still, but don't you know it's a lot of time to fill.*

How I long to be back in your arms, but then I know things can not be the same. I know it takes time for the scars to heal, but don't you know it is time that life will steal.*
