perceptions
Music by J. McGaha
Lyrics by R. Pierce
Copyright 2005 Boru's Ghost

What is this essence of the truth, just the opposite of a lie, and will any of us know before we die?

Is the moon rising or is it the setting sun? Different perceptions, deceptions we all hold. Are your eyes open, are theirs too blind to see? Faint superstitions or is it just history.*

* Its all in the way that you see it (I'm not scared to live). It's all in the mind that you read it (I'm not scared to die). It's all in the time that you feel it (I have seen the truth). Its beauty makes me cry/the truth will win the day.

I don't need sages telling me what's in store. Life's what you make it and death is nothing more. Don't need your illusions, the truth will set you free. You can't see the forest, you're blinded by the trees.*
